Recent Projects
Here are some of our amazing initiatives that we have hosted recently alongside other non-profit organisations.
Community Resilience Project
The Community Resilience Project aims to improve the quality of life of older people in Wandsworth by developing wellbeing activities in existing community centres.
The project looked at the resilience of the day care centre and how it was at the best place to respond to the needs of the elderly people. There was a focus on exercise classes and projects to see if they were up to standard and raise the physical and mental wellbeing of attendees of the day care centre.
Funded by the Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), Age UK Wandsworth managed the grant-giving process to five existing community centres, including Graveney Day Care.
79% of attendees agreed that their wellbeing had improved.
89% of attendees (of exercise classes) agreed that their levels of physical activity had improved.

FS2T
The FS2T Programme looks at incidents of people from BAME communities and how they are more inclined to be users of mental health services. The programme also looks at how the mental health of individuals from BAME communities are more adversely impacted and the outcomes of their diagnosis’ are more negative.
Graveney Day Care has been a part of this project for the last five years, as it directly relates to our ethos.

Avocado+ programme was ran by Money4You, a course curated and delivered by their consultants. It was a capacity-building programme which aimed to officer advice and transfer skills on how to make Graveney Day Care’s fundraising capabilities more robust.
Specifically, the programme focuses on delivering operational efficiencies and funding successes within Graveney Day Care, and other Black, Asian, Multi-Ethnic and Refugee Charities and Social Enterprise.

In Partnership with Money4You
Money4You is an organisation which aims to tackle inequality by providing quality financial education and interventions that equip people to make the most of their resources.
This is done through providing financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills training for all, and equipping organisations with the tools for stewardship and financial sustainability. Their work places a strong emphasis on girls, youth and disadvantaged communities.
